The Island and the Wave

An uninhabited island. A long right-hand point.

Cleofas Island sits alone in the Mexican Pacific. No town, no road, no one else in the lineup. Off the point, a long right-hand wave peels down the reef and into the bay. In normal conditions it suits newer surfers. On bigger swells, who paddles out depends on experience.

The charter operates under a permit from the Mexican Navy to access the island. [CONFIRM: exclusive permit, or the only one currently issued]

The Yacht

Three decks. Four staterooms. A crew that knows the coast.

Four staterooms and four bathrooms for up to [7] guests. An experienced captain and crew run the yacht from the marina to the island and back. Three decks leave room to be alone or together.

The Table

A private chef. Every meal on board.

The chef cooks to the group's tastes, from breakfast before the first session to dinner on deck. The bar is open for the week.

On the Water

Back to the lineup by jet ski.

After each wave, a jet ski picks up and returns to the peak. Sled support stays on the water through the session. Between sessions: snorkeling, paddle boarding, fishing, and time on deck.

The Six Days

Leave at dusk. Wake up at the island.

Day One

Board at 6 PM

Dinner as the yacht leaves the marina. The crossing takes about ten hours overnight.

Days Two to Six

Five days at anchor

Surf sessions morning and afternoon. Snorkeling, paddle boarding, fishing, and time on deck between meals.

Final Day

Depart at 6 PM

A last session, then the overnight cruise home. Morning at the marina.

For Teams

Room to think, away from a conference room.

The whole boat is private. The wave works for first-timers and for people who have surfed for decades, and the crew looks after everyone in between. Mornings in the water, afternoons on deck, and no agenda unless the group brings one.
